Turkestan Caravanserai

Bringing the legacy of the past together with modern structures

The Turkestan Caravanserai project is a hotel and business centre complex built over an area of 205,000 square metres in the city of Turkestan, Kazakhstan. Developed by BBR Yapı, the project began in February 2020 and was completed in December 2020. Within its scope BBR Yapı successfully carried out the structural, finishing and façade works. This modern complex makes an important contribution to the cultural and commercial life of Turkestan, bringing the region’s historic heritage together with contemporary architecture.

The Turkestan Caravanserai project stands in Turkestan, a city rich in history and culture in Kazakhstan. Turkestan is one of Central Asia’s important centres of culture and trade, known in particular for its strategic position on the Silk Road. The city carries a spiritual heritage reaching deep into history and is referred to as the spiritual capital of Central Asia. By blending the cultural fabric of this ancient city with a modern structure, the project offers local people and visitors alike an experience closely bound to the rich past of Turkestan.
